Our Client, leader in the Industrial Sector, is looking for a qualified
GROUP CATEGORY MANAGER
Mission
Reporting to the Head of Group Procurement (materials and Capex), the incumbent will be responsible for developing, executing and negotiating Sourcing Strategies globally for a set portfolio of spend categories and monitoring implementation and compliance within the Group.
He/She will be also responsible for managing global projects/solutions from the design up to the implementation.
Key Accountabilities
- Establish, develop, document, communicate and implement Sourcing Strategies for the assigned Category and related sub-categories, by taking into account global Group needs;
- set the supplier panel for these categories and review it regularly;
- define sub-categories priority list suitable for strategic sourcing initiatives and coordinating the local procurement team for assigned categories;
- execute the Strategies into yearly action plans to deliver the cost reduction target set for the category;
- ensure contracts and sourcing processes compliance in the Group;
- build, develop and maintain a network of key stakeholders relevant for the category by guaranteeing their early involvement in the Strategy and gaining the stakeholders approval;
- negotiate prices and contracts with key suppliers within the scope of assigned categories and manage execution of contracts to optimize company’s competitive position;
- manage Supplier Relationship and Vendor Management within the set portfolio of spend categories;
- act as a market intelligence specialist, by anticipating strategic opportunities and keeping relevant stakeholders informed;
- support the Region/BUs in the resolution of service issues by taking the lead in major, critical or systematic ones.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- 3+ years of experience in strategic procurement and category management gained in international manufacturing businesses
- Proven ability to develop global sourcing strategies and manage complex sourcing processes
- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques, processes and tools
- Experience in working with cross functional teams and in a matrix-organization
- Knowledge of SAP MM or equivalent
- Travel flexibility up to 30%
- Good command of English
